Rockford Floods . . . Again?
If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
I feel bad for the folks who live in the flooded areas of Rockford. I too, live in a hundred year flood plain and while we;ve been close, no floods so far. In my youth growing up in Rockford, I remember hearing about flood in Machesney Park (was North Park), but never in Rockford. Is this a case of Joni Mitchell's "big yellow taxi" where they paved paradise and put up a parking lot? Except in our case the words would be "they paved the natural drainage and put up a McDonalds resturant."
